About

Why this range

Dazzling white smiles are no longer reserved for the red carpet. Hundreds of tooth whitening products are now available, ranging from a few pounds to several hundred. In-surgery laser whitening can cost £300–£500 for a single session — and while it’s fast, it isn’t the only way to get a great result.
If you don’t want to spend a fortune and you’re happy to whiten over a few evenings at home, a custom tray system is the perfect middle ground. It uses the same dental-strength gels and the same close-fitting trays the dentist would supply, just sent to you by post.
ProWhiteSmile’s custom tray systems are made by qualified dental technicians from impressions you take at home. The trays sit tightly against the teeth, hold the gel evenly and keep it away from the gums — giving a comfortable, controlled whitening session every time.

Technician-made trays

Each pair is cast and trimmed in a UK lab from your own impressions for a precise, dentist-quality fit.

Dental-strength gel

Includes the same carbamide peroxide gel used in surgery, in your chosen 16% or 22% concentration.

Posted both ways

Impression kit arrives in the post; you send the impressions back and your finished trays come straight to your door.

Reusable for years

Once made, your custom trays can be used again and again with refill gels for life-long top-ups.
How to use

Step by step

01

Order a custom tray system and we’ll post you an impression kit with putty, trays and step-by-step instructions.

02

Mix the putty as instructed, load the impression trays and bite down to take an impression of your upper and lower teeth.

03

Pop the impressions into the prepaid return packaging and post them back to our UK lab.

04

Our technicians cast your models and create a tailored pair of whitening trays designed to fit snugly over your teeth.

05

Load a thin ribbon of gel into each finished tray, seat them over your teeth and wipe away any excess at the gum line.

06

Wear for the time stated on your gel (typically 30–60 minutes or overnight for lower strengths), then rinse, clean and store in the case.
FAQ

Common questions

How are these different from off-the-shelf trays?
Boil-and-bite trays are mouldable at home and work well as a budget option. Custom trays are made by a dental technician from impressions of your own teeth, so they fit more closely, feel more comfortable and keep the gel exactly where it should be.
An at-home impression kit (putty, impression trays and instructions), prepaid return packaging, your finished custom whitening trays, dental-strength carbamide peroxide gel in your chosen strength and a storage case.
Most customers receive their impression kit within a few days. Once we receive your impressions back, the lab typically turns the finished trays around within about 7–10 working days.
Whitening gel only lightens natural tooth enamel. Crowns, veneers and white fillings stay the colour they were made, so it’s worth checking visible restorations match your target shade before you start.
Carbamide peroxide has been used in dentistry for decades. Used at the stated strengths and times in a well-fitted tray, it’s considered safe for healthy adult teeth and gums. If you have sensitive teeth, start with the 16% strength.
Yes. Custom trays typically last several years with normal use. When you want to top up, just order refill gel syringes in your preferred strength — no need to remake the trays.
